- What types of questions are on the PMP exam?
- The active PMP Version 8 exam includes multiple-choice (single answer), multiple response (select all that apply), matching, fill-in-the-blank, and hotspot questions. About 50% of questions are scenario-based situational judgment. The active PMP Version 8 exam (active now) adds case study sets and practicum hands-on testing with tools and data.
- How are PMP questions scored?
- PMI uses scaled scoring for the PMP exam — there is no fixed number of correct answers required to pass. PMI does not publish the exact passing score. The exam has 185 questions total (175 scored + 5 unscored pretest questions). The active PMP Version 8 exam will have 185 questions and 240 minutes.
