PMP Certification in the Philippines: Cost, Eligibility and Exam Booking (2026)
Earning the PMP from the Philippines starts with applying to PMI and scheduling a test-center or online appointment. What differs locally is the cost in pesos, where you can book, and the community around you. This guide covers those Philippines specifics.

How much does the PMP cost in PHP?
Use the US-price benchmark below to estimate a budget at about 63 PHP per USD (indicative rate, October 2026). PMI's regional prices, membership offers, taxes and your bank's fees can change the final total. Confirm the quote for your account before paying.
| Cost item | With PMI membership | Without membership |
|---|---|---|
| PMI annual membership | $164 (about PHP 10,332) | Not needed |
| PMP exam fee | $405 (about PHP 25,515) | $655 (about PHP 41,265) |
| Exam and membership subtotal (training excluded) | $569 (about PHP 35,847) | $655 (about PHP 41,265) |
Fees as listed by PMI (US pricing) and on our PMP exam cost guide. PMI decides any local tax at checkout, so confirm the final amount before you pay.
The peso floats against the US dollar, so the peso figures here are budgeting estimates at an indicative October 2026 rate. Card and remittance fees can add to the total; check the exact amount in your own PMI checkout.
With the US benchmark, membership plus the member exam fee is $86 below the non-member exam fee before taxes. Compare your actual regional totals to decide whether membership fits your needs.
Booking the exam
- Test center: Pearson VUE centers operate in Metro Manila and Cebu. Seats on weekends go early; book two to three weeks ahead. Use the Pearson VUE PMI page for current centers and times.
- Online (OnVUE): available nationwide with a stable connection, a webcam and a private room — the easiest option if you live outside Metro Manila or Cebu.
- Shifting schedules: many Filipino candidates work nights or rotating shifts, including overseas employment. Online proctoring lets you pick a slot that matches your rest window instead of a test-center timetable.
Exam language
PMI lists English among the PMP exam languages, and candidates in the Philippines almost always test in English. Confirm the language available for your appointment when booking.
Eligibility
PMI's four PMP experience pathways are 60 months with a secondary credential, 48 months with an associate or qualifying vocational credential, 36 months with a bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 24 months with a GAC-accredited bachelor's or postgraduate degree. Count non-overlapping project leadership experience within the previous 10 years.
You also need 35 hours of qualifying project-management training; an active CAPM satisfies that training requirement. Check the credential mapping and documentation in our PMP eligibility guide and PMI's official requirements before applying.
Local community
The PMI Philippines community and local project-management groups run events, seminars and study circles that also count toward PDUs once you are certified. Search "PMI Philippines" from your PMI account's chapter directory to find current activities.
A study rhythm that fits your schedule
Most candidates prepare over 8 to 12 weeks: short weekday sessions on one topic and a longer weekend block for timed practice. Our PMP exam prep guide has full 4, 8 and 12-week plans.
Before booking, take at least two full 180-question mock exams (the live exam is 180 questions, 170 scored plus 10 unscored pretest, in 240 minutes) and drill your weakest areas with the topic guides.
