PM PrepCast Exam Simulator Alternative: What to Do Before December 4, 2026

PrepCast is closing on December 4, 2026

After 18 years of serving roughly 70,000 PMP candidates, OSP International LLC (the company behind PM PrepCast) announced it will shut down all products and systems on December 4, 2026. The last day to purchase any PrepCast product is October 31, 2026. All customer accounts, course progress, simulator exam history, and personal data will be permanently deleted after the closure date.

What current PrepCast users should do before December 4, 2026

If you have an active PrepCast account, prioritize completing your simulator exams and saving your progress before the shutdown. PrepCast's FAQ recommends:

  • Take full-length simulator exams before December 4, 2026 and save or print your score reports and question reviews—they are your best diagnostic material after the shutdown.
  • Finish the course before November 30 to allow time for the assessment, and download your certificate before December 4. The certificate remains valid documentation of your training hours even after the company closes.
  • Download any available PDFs such as formula guides or course materials while you still have access.
  • Complete course content now if your exam is scheduled after December 4, 2026. PrepCast is working on a way for customers to keep course lessons before December 4 and is exploring the possibility of a third-party platform, but nothing is confirmed and existing customers may not automatically receive access to any third-party solution.

Why PrepCast is shutting down

PrepCast's founder, Cornelius Fichtner, explained that the PMI exam prep market has changed structurally over the past six years: more preparation options, sharply lower prices, and the economics of running an independent training company no longer work. Rather than continue with declining quality, they chose to close.
